As part of the Horsforth ‘Walk of Art’, TRJFP @ All Hallows’ Cafe hosted a ‘waste food bake off’, along with Cragg Hill Baptist Church.
13 people entered the competition and lots of people came to view (and taste!) the cakes. They also had the opportunity to eat cakes provided by TRJFP @ All Hallows’ Cafe. £36.39 was given in donations to the project. Thank you very much to those who contributed!
Lisa Bourne made the winning cake – congratulations!! Her cake was made with potato, carrot and parsnip peelings. The top was decorated with a bin containing miniatures of the vegetables. It tasted delicious and was a great advert for campaigning against food waste!
Thank you to our wonderful judges – Zoe Hopkinson, Stuart Andrew, Dawn McBride and Geoff King! And thank you also to everyone who came along to support ‘waste food bake off’!
