In the cafe today

Despite the wind and rain, 33 customers managed to make it through the doors. One lady (who was 21 again?) chose to come to the cafe for her birthday lunch today, along with her friend. We felt very privileged that she chose our cafe as opposed to a fancy cafe or restaurant! A little later on, a guitar was brought into the cafe and we enjoyed some improvisation from various artists. It was lovely to have some live music.

Here’s what was enjoyed at the cafe, or taken home to eat later…
22 portions of creamy sweet potato soup
16 portions of coconut fish curry and rice
16 portions of vegetable hot pot with dumplings
3 portions of cheesy pasta
16 portions of banoffee pie (which almost looked like the picture – probably far more tasty though!)

And would you believe, we sold out of everything except the soup. Don’t forget to come down early if you would like a selection to choose from.

Thank you as always to our wonderful volunteers, who produced delicious dishes! Several other people helped out with other jobs as well, including logging food, writing the menu and cleaning up the car park and flower bed. Thank you to you all!

Don’t forget that we are now closed on:
Friday 3rd April,
Tuesday 7th April and
Friday 10th April.

We look forward to seeing you again on Tuesday 14th April.

We wish you a peaceful and happy Easter.
